Google, wozu YouTube gehört, behält direkt 45 Prozent des Geldes ein, die übrigen 55 Prozent landen beim Videomacher. Pro 1.000 Klicks verdient man rund 1 Euro. Das bedeutet, dass beispielsweise einer der erfolgreicheren YouTube Kanäle mit über 30 Millionen Views alleine durch die Werbeanzeigen bereits rund 30.000 Euro einnimmt.
