--Students must be available to rehearse after school each week: choir will meet after school on Wednesdays from 3-4pm.  Transportation will NOT be provided.  Parents/Guardians are expected to provide transportation to pick up students promptly at 4pm on rehearsal days.

--Students must demonstrate exceptional behavior and Wilshire pride in all classes, as well as any off campus events.

--Students must love to sing! They must have a desire to perform and better their musicianship skills.

This group will be selected through an audition process of students that meet the above requirements.  Instead of holding auditions on just one afternoon, students will be able to sign up for audition times before and after school during the week of September 4^th-September 7^th (THIS IS NEXT WEEK).  STUDENTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REMEMBERING THEIR AUDITION TIME.  If all the times conflict with prior commitments, please let me know so we can make other arrangements.

I have attached the parent permission slip form to this post.  Please fill it out and make sure it has a parent/guardian signature, and PLEASE BRING IT TO THE AUDITION.  Students will be unable to audition for choir without a completed permission slip.

Students auditioning will be assessed based on their singing a confident performance of “America (My Country ‘Tis of Thee)”, echo singing different pitches, echo clapping rhythms, and their desire to work and sing as a group for the best possible performance.  Here is the excerpt students should have prepared.
