When I visited the United Kingdom I was interested in its many popular stories that reflected its fantastic culture, each character from different stories showed their deep-rooted culture and the reason for their stories.

Scene 1: Introduction

Folktales from the United Kingdom not only entertain but also convey the history, beliefs, and values ​​of their culture. Today we will look at how characters like Jack the Fairy, the Lady of the Lake, and the Welsh Dragon teach us about the traditions of these lands.

Scene 2: Jack the Cunning Hero

Jack, a folk hero, represents the cunning and courage of ordinary people. In tales like Jack and the Beanstalk, he defeats giants using his wits, reflecting how intelligence is as valuable as strength in British culture.

The experience that my family and I enjoyed the most when we traveled to the United Kingdom was its gastronomy, because we went to many restaurants where we tried many delicious and traditional local dishes.

Actor 1: My father had the opportunity to make a famous dish called “haggis”, which is a sausage made from the stomach, liver, lung and heart of a sheep or lamb. This interesting pudding-like combination is seasoned and mixed with onion and oatmeal, then stuffed into the animal's stomach (or artificial casing). It tastes like nuts and is supposed to be delicious. The recipe is old, you would think that in all that time they could have made something more pleasant and it is still very popular, especially served with mashed potatoes and turnips.

Actor 2: My mother likes sweet things, for this reason she dared to try “apple crumble” which is the best gift that the United Kingdom has given to the palates of the whole world. Sweet apples are baked with a crumbled layer of flour, sugar and butter to become a texture contrast fit for royalty.
