Ants help acacia trees by stinging animals who like to nibble on the tree. This helps the tree a lot. In return the tree makes food for the ants. They live in the hollow thorns on the tree so it is like paying rent. Basically, the ants are like tiny body guards. The ants help protect the tree from being eaten and the tree helps them by providing shelter.

Some ways plants defend themselves. 1. The pitcher plant. The pitcher plant defends its self by... EATING BUGS!?. The pitcher plant lives in marshes and bogs. The soil does not have all the nutrients the plant needs to survive. So they eat bugs. Yuck. The plant louers the bugs to the rim of the plants licwid. It does this by perviding a licwid that smells good to bugs. They sit on the rim and woop zoop sloop and in they go. The bug drownds in the likwid.2. Playing tricks. In a desert in south africa a bug crouls over a pebble but it is not a pebble it is the pebble plant. The pebble plant yooses mimicry. Mimicry is when plant or a animal takes a shape of a difrent thing.
