         <description><![CDATA[<div>1961- President Kennedy added 8,000 more American troops to South Vietnam<br>1965, March- President Johnson ordered 82,000 troops to be sent to Southern Vietnam<br>1968, January 1st-Tet Offensive (multiple air attacks lead my Northern Vietnam on about 100 south Vietnam cities).<br>1968- President Nixon ordered Vietnamization where the US took away some of their troops, but still sent needed supplies to south Vietnam.<br>1969- multiple peace protests took place in the US to get us out of the war.<br>1973- US pulled out of the war</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-1959, Fidel Castro becomes dictator of Cuba<br>-early 1960, US president Eisenhower builds an army of 1,400 soldiers how escaped from Cuba to America.<br>-1960, Fidel Castro and the Soviets formed a diplomatic relationship, so the US stopped importing Cuban sugar to slow down Cuba's economy.<br>-April 15 1961, American B- 26 bombers that were painted like Cuban planes bombed Cuban air fields, but Fidel Castro knew of the attack and had already move the planes away from the area.<br>-April 17 1961- The American army of Cuban exiles attacks at the Bay of Pigs, but the Cubans were ready.<br>-April 17 1961, Within 24 hours the fighting was over and Cuba killed a total of 114 American troops, and captured over 1,100 troops as prisoners.</div>]]></description>
