My mother was a single mom so being physically in the building was a challenge, so involvement for her looked different…she came up when she needed to, but she trusted the system…until she didn't.

Also, her work schedule matched my school schedule, so she was often involved with my school events. Also, during her maternity leave, she acted as a class parent for my 2nd grade class.
