During the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches about Jewish law, which is based on the Ten Commandments, and the other commandments given by God. Jesus prefaces his sermon by saying, "Do not think I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have not come to abolish but to fulfill." Matthew 5:17. He taught the commandments, altering it to reflect his most important teachings, which are the two great commandments, one of which is the Shema. As an example, he changes the commandment of an eye for an eye, to turning the other cheek, which is essentially the golden rule. He also teaches us lessons and about what the kingdom of God is like through parables. One example of a parable that teaches us about the Kingdom of God is the classical one of the Good Samaritan. (Luke 10:25-37). In this, he teaches about mercy, and compassion, and that these traits are part of what the Kingdom of God represents. Also, another example within the Sermon on the Mount is the Beatitudes, where Jesus gives advice on how to be happy, and what it takes to truly be able to earn eternal life, and to avoid earthly temptations. These all contribute to us learning how to act in representing God's kingdom. To sum it up, one is able to use the term Agape, or Caritas.

Jesus presented his miracles in many ways, all showing and clarifying what the Kingdom of God actually is. He showed his kingdom by performing and demonstrating what he had power over. An example of one of these miracles would be the resuscitation, not to be confused with resurrection. In this miracle (Mark 5:21-23, 35-43), Jesus demonstrates his power over death, by resuscitating a girl who was dead, simply saying to get up, as if waking her up from simply a nap. This shows God's power over death, and absolute control. This sheds light on the Kingdom of God, as death is not a factor, in the eternal life. Some other miracles also show power over nature, demons and also the ability to heal.
