The organizations name is Canadian Council for Refugees. it is an organization that helps refugees who have just barely moved to Canada and are experiencing a lot of racism from their new neighbors. It recognizes that racism happens systematically to radically different ethnic and religious backgrounds. this organization is also non-profit.
There isn't really a founder or rather I'm unable to find a founder however the executive director Janet Dench. In total there are 8 staff members ( all women): directors, coordinators, and managers. Colleen French, Marisa Berry Mendez, Samanta Garcia Fialdini, Elizabeth Docherty, Elvira Truglia, Eva Garcia-Turgeon, and Malika Mohajiry.
Their mission is to help those who are new to this country to help them with the racism that they have deal with because of their ethnic and religious backgrounds.
They don't really have any programs that they use but they do a lot of public speaking and meetings for anyone and everyone who have to deal with racism in their everyday lives. This type of strategy is very effective. Especially if a lot of people know the organization and what its all about.
They don't really do any fundraising but they do take donations from anyone willing to give. its pretty effective because then people don't feel as though they have to give money. It's their choice as to whether or not they give anything at all.
you can contact the woman by calling or emailing them seeing as how they are the people in charge they will let you know what you can do to help and how to get involved(all down below). Another option would be to just donate and that would be enough. A 3rd option being: prayer. You can never go wrong or overdo praying for anyone.
There are only woman of different races in charge and running this whole organization. It's technically a massive social justice project that genuinely tries to include anyone and everyone.
Janet Dench, Executive Director
Telephone (514) 277-7223 extension 2
Email: jdench@ccrweb.ca

Colleen French, Communication and Networking Coordinator
Telephone (514) 277-7223 extension 1
Email: cfrench@ccrweb.ca

Marisa Berry Méndez, Settlement Policy Director
Telephone (514) 277-7223, extension 5
Email: mberrymendez@ccrweb.ca

The Fighting for Equality organization is all about trying to help other organizations eradicate racism from all over the world. The founders of this organization are Anna Thiessen and Margaretha Martens. Anyone can work and volunteer for our organization as long as they meet the requirements, which is to help raise the awareness that there is racism in our world and they should help fundraise or donate to help our programs thrive.
This topic is important to us because we both feel that no one should have to live with racism and in fear of being criticized or being made fun of in public or anywhere. Just because they look different doesn't mean they are different. We are all the same underneath our skin. No one should feel as though they are less important than the next person.
Our mission is trying to teach everyone that racism is not okay and has no place in our modern world. Just because our ancestors were racist doesn't mean that it's okay for us to be. Everyone has the right to live a peaceful life and they shouldn't have to be a victim of racism.
One of our strategies for people to recognize racism is to show them what it looks like in order for them to be more aware, which is why we have several videos on social experiments that other people have done in the past. These strategies are effective because it shows that there are so many people that are somewhat racist. We hope that after seeing these videos, people will start to try and help those who are being treated with disrespect.
Fighting for Equality is supported by government funding, contracts and program fees as well as private donations.
People can get involved by volunteering to be a part of any of the programs. They can also get involved by helping those who are being discriminated because of the way they look.
Fighting for Equality has been a great success and has helped people worldwide, of all ages.

For questions or more information, please contact:

Fighting for Equality Administrative Office
Ellice Avenue
Winnipeg, MB R0A 0R0
Phone: (347)968-348
Fax: (782)875-9347
Email: ffeinfo@ffeewinnipeg.org

Emmett Till's Murder

this article, which was published on August 2015, tells the story of 14 year old Emmett Till who was abducted at gunpoint in 1955 by two white men who claimed that he had whistled at a white woman. When the boy showed no fear after they had beaten him brutally, they decided to kill him. The court, whose juries were all white, showed no remorse. This angered locals and people that heard the story so they decided it was time to change the way they treated people of different skin colors.

They have not erupted to the volume that they have in the U.S. but I am seeing signs of things coming to a boiling point,” says Dr. Britton, who has been a pastor at the Cornwallis Street Baptist Church in Halifax since 2007. “If we want to avoid that, we need to address some of these things – we can’t continue to sweep them under the rug.”
