The best way to do that was exercise, have regular sleep patterns and have a healthy diet. They also believed the four humours had to be balanced (blood, phlegm, yellow bile, and black bile).<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Treatment consisted of religious&nbsp;and medical practices. When it came down to treating a disease. They used herbal treatments, focused on healthy eating, massage therapy and exercise. While surgery was an option, it was their last one. These treatments were also to restore the balance of the four humours. They also began and practiced cleanliness during procedures.<br><br></div>]]></description>

The Hippocratic Oath is still used by medical professionals today. Hippocrates also believed that herbs and other natural treatments would heal diseases.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Praxagoras believed that the arteries pulsed by themselves and were independent of the heart. He wrote at least two medical books discussing natural sciences and anatomy. </div>]]></description>
