There are some several reasons why people build MONUMENTS. Firstly,  every person wants to remember from their young generations. People who lived in old ages have built many MANUMENTS for their life's SYMBOL. For example, while people were building their STRUCTURES, they used their own STYLE and THEME. Therefore, STRUCTURES were İNSPİRED their nature and lives. While these people's ARCHİTECTs were building those STRUCTURES, they might thought that people who will live in future are SUCCESSOR. Secondly, people want to show their beliefs and religions. Thus, they can built TEMPLE to safety SİTE. Sometimes some communities did SACRİFİCE in these TEMPLES or did RİTUAL. Besides, some people CONSTRUCTED a TEMPLE to PRAY and HONOUR their God. These old STRUCTURES usually CONSİST stones. This was for temperature and view. For example, nowadays some people EXCAVATİNG the ground to found new things and GATHER the information about history. They TRANSPORT to the museum their founds. There are several reasons why people build these monuments. Some are tombs for great people or leaders. People have wanted to honour historical figures for their service to their society or nation by constructing great tombs. For example, Egyptians built pyramids to bury their pharaohs. They also put pharos’ personal fortune in those tombs because they thought their kings would need them in afterlife. On the other hand, some ancient people built these monuments for religious purposes. Such kind of buildings are called temples where people used to go, carry out their rituals and sacrifice for their gods. Temple of Kukulkan in Chichén Itza which was built by the Mayans illustrates this kind of constructions. The last reason why people build monuments is to remember important people with these structures. An example to this is the carvings of American presidents in Mount Rushmore or Taj Mahal which was built in memory of Shah Jahan’s dead wife. To sum up, monuments were required by cultures as tombs, for religious ceremonies, and to show respect to their dead.
