Diabetes is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin. So, your body is in a constant struggle to find a balance between sugar and insulin (constant stress). Also, any wounds (cuts, broken bones, etc) will heal significantly slower. Externally, this all depends on the symptoms of hypoglycemia (low sugar) and hyperglycemia (high sugar).
