         <description><![CDATA[<div>ClassDojo is a digital classroom management tool used to encourage positive behavior and learning skills within the classroom. Students can earn points showing positive actions and lose points due to negative actions throughout the day. Students may use the points they earn for rewards. This online source also allows for teachers to communicate with parents frequently using this site through phone, computer, or email. Teachers will be able to communicate with parents by sharing instant messages, updates and photos from class.</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;I plan on using this site as a tool for behavior management but also as a tool to communicate with parents. I will use this site as a way to communicate with parents frequently by sending instant messages, updates and reports of how their child is doing in the classroom behaviorally. In 1<sup>st</sup> grade, we focus a lot of the year on expectations and social skills which this site will help support.&nbsp; I will start every student with 0 points at the beginning of everyday. Students will earn and lose points throughout the day based on behavior and learning skills. Throughout the year, students will have the opportunity to use their Dojo points towards the Dojo Store within my classroom. Every Friday I will also check to see which student had the most Dojo points for the week and they will be the “Leader of the Week” for the next upcoming school week. The “Leader of the Week” will earn a “Brag Tag” and a certificate. Every couple of weeks I will also check each student’s total points and then will place the students in the point club that they belong to on the Class Dojo Bulletin board in the classroom. Using this behavior management system, my goal is for students to strive to excel behaviorally in the classroom, as well as, keep parents up-to-date with how their child is performing in the classroom.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
