<title>Q3: How do the families help the empire? The families of the Inca empire helped the empire with service and goods. The families had to pay a yearly tax of about a month or two of public service such as building roads. The children helped by doing things around the house. The women would take care of the babies, fetched water, cooked, made clothing, and learned to weave. The boys looked after the animals and helped in the fields. Finally the family would pay a tax of goods such as wheat or corn. -Josh W.</title>
