- Transparency from Admin when it comes to hiccups. If we're expected to explain why things go wrong for us, then it should also be the other way around.
- Teacher appreciation that goes beyond a thank you in an email. At times it feels like those in power don't care. For me, a general thank you in an email is NOT ENOUGH.
- CONCRETE consequences in place for poor student behavior. Positive Behavior Incentives are great, but what do we do when there is Negative Behavior? There need to be consequences in place.
- Schoolwide cell phone policy
- People being held accountable for their actions (and not just teachers/staff).
- Bringing back the After School Tutoring Program!     Admin is non-existent when communicating or when trying to do anything that is remotely important, whether it is administering directives from the district, testing procedures, or any procedure for that matter.  Seems like admin does their job by the seat of their pants.  Oh and can someone tell Admin N, that his jokes are NOT funny and are in fact unprofessional.

  • Any student out of class without a proper pass (an orange vest and clip board) within the first 10 minutes of a period will be sent to the TARDY SWEEP. The student will be given a stamped UNEXCUSED TARDY SLIP. The student should arrive to class within 7 minutes of the time stamp. 
  • Teachers can direct students to their SLC Center if the student did not return within 7 minutes from the time stamp. 
  • Any student picked up after the tardy sweep wandering the campus without a vest and clipboard will be sent to an Admin. 
  • Tardies will accumulate by period and will be cleared each quarter to incentivize improvement. 
    • CONSEQUENCES:
    1st Offense: Student warned and sent back to class.
    2nd Offense: Student warned and given lunch detention.
    3rd Offense: Lunch counseling/detention and call home.
    4th Offense: Conference with parent and student and detention.
    5th Offense: Student put on contract, parent notified, and detention.
    6th Offense: Parent notified and lunch time campus beautification.
    7th Offense: Parent notified, campus beautification , mandatory counseling with Pupil Services Attendance counselor/intern. 
     
    An unexcused tardy of 30 minutes or more is considered truancy. Three truancies triggers progressive support by an Attendance Counselor and could lead to habitual truancy intervention and ultimate referral to a School Attendance Review Board(SARB).
