  • We see this right now in our community with school board elections coming up. People have different ideas about what is best.

  • I think board members do end of collaborating even if they have different ideas of what is best. That makes a strong school board.

We have to settle on some middle ground.

  • Because oftentimes people disagree on "whats best" because they have different perspectives.

  • By finding different things to focus on first can take conflict to collaboration - small agreements can lead to productivity

  • Try to see where they were coming from and what factors were shaping their "why" helped me take conflict to collaboration. Empathy moves mountains!
