It was suitable for grade level and love the tone of voice that was used throughout the conversations. Both provided important information and it was straight to the point. I feel like with science it is difficult to do that without being to dense with information. The simulation that Ciara used was interactive and explained well how a pendulum works while tying up previous topics into it. The video that Jocelyn used provided more reinforcement for the content vocabulary being taught. Great lesson, not only did you teach us the new vocabulary and the intro to this topic but this lesson went by so fast and that’s what you want. You don’t want to be stuck in a lesson that feels like it’s going forever. Maybe for the time to climb, the questions could have been more challenging as it is for 6th graders. Also, you should go over the students responses for the questions you asked.

Great lesson too, you were very upbeat and kept us feeling entertained. You also gave us many opportunities to use our background knowledge to answer questions. Also, for the stimulation... you explained how to use it really well and also made sure that each of us did not have any questions.

I also like that Jocelyn had a summary of the lesson at the end. I thought Ciara's labl esson was well thougho ut and delivered. I think you did a really nice job with your lesson on slides! You had a lot of great information in your lesson. You included visuals and also opportunities to respond to questions in the collaboration board option on Nearpod. I think it would be helpful to stop for a bit to check for student understanding. You spoke about gravity, force, and friction, which can be topics that may need to be reviewed a bit more. Therefore, checking for student understanding to see what they've learned and understand from the lesson is important to help provide clarification on any confusion some students might have. Also, I think making sure you tell students what the correct answer for the questions asked in the poll, might be helpful so they know if they were right or wrong. This can also be a form of checking for student understanding.

I think you also did a really nice job with your lesson on swings! You also had a lot of great information in your lesson. You also had students engaged in the lesson. You provided an opportunity to explore and learn more about gravity, force, and friction with the pendulum simulation and also discussing how swings act as a pendulum. I thought the simulation was a great way for students to practice what they've learned about pendulums. I think it would have been helpful to have students read some of the information from the slides, as it would have been another great way to have students engaged in the lesson. Providing a KWL chart at the beginning of your lesson would have also been a great idea to see what students know, want to know about gravity, force, and motion, and then fill out what they learned at the end of your lesson. This would have been helpful as I know you reviewed some concepts such as gravity, force, and friction, which Jocelyn had  discussed in her lesson. You did a matching game as a pre-assessment to see what students remembered from Jocelyn's lesson which I thought was great. However, I think a KWL chart can also be another good idea to give students as a pre-assessment. 

I think both of you did a really nice job with your lessons! Both lessons flowed nicely together and were fitting for sixth graders.
