I am not intending to word smith the definition here but to capture a perceived content gap of nutritional therapy. I'd suggest considering rewording pharmacotherapeutics to include nutritional management of diseases (nutritional and pharmacotherapeutics?). At the last curricular revision, nutritional content was moved earlier (to Y1) and clinical nutrition (therapeutic nutrition) was omitted. I am uncertain if others have incorporated it but students tell my in the 4th year that this is a gap, (small animal content anyway) and I wanted to increase awareness.

Evaluate the affordability, availability, accessibility, acceptability and accommodation of plans. For example, what are the barriers to care for the family or producer? Are they geographically isolated from the services you're suggesting? Do they need wrap-around services (i.e. food support, social work, housing aid) to be able to fulfill a treatment plan?

I think the "euthanasia when needed" is in a strange place after preventative care. I think end of life discussions are important, but I agree that "when needed" should be replaced with another phrase. I think euthanasia is a discussion in management and is better included in the previous sentence about treatment plans.

Agree that recognition of disease should start with the PE and history, not diagnostic testing. Can we add generation of a differential list which is used to identify options for diagnostic testing and therapy? Generation of a ddx list using only a history and PE is ESSENTIAL to successful practice, especially considering the spectrum of care emphasis. This should be emphasized over and over again as too often students want to do diagnostic testing without knowing what they are really looking for.
