I think there a important practical areas that can really start someones life off on the right foot. Here is a list I have complied. 

1. Learn how credit cards work and the interest rates attached to them
2. Create a resume to obtain a job
3. Learn about workers safety and rights in the workplace
4. Get a basic understanding of mortgages
5. Develop communication skills and presentation techniques. 
6. Become aware of the economy, current events, oppourtunities
7. Develop an understanding of business communications - email etiquette 
8. Creating a positive social media footprint
9. Prepare for the workforce 
10. Learn how to run a business. How a business works.
