  • my mom and dad: neither have a great memory, but they have told me some cool stories about the 80s. I wish they remembered more D:

  • My grandpa: I view him as a storytelling hero because he knows details from where our family is from. You could ask him lots of various questions about our genealogy/ancestors and he usually can answer. I also find his life fascinating.

  • Authors: Sherman Alexie, Jonathan Larson, probably more I can’t think of

  • Other: Mr. Rogers, other various children’s entertainers/kids tv shows, writers/actors in my favorite shows

He was someone who introduced me into the world of books, and a lot of fantasy book. I never knew anyone who read as much as he did. He had at least 900 book and half of them are hard cover, along with hundreds of magazines. He encouraged me to keep uaving an imagination and always pushed me to go for my dreams. Through may books, trips to the library and to the movies, he introduced me to many forms of story telling even if it went against what my dad wanted me to consume. He was the first person to believe in me and my crazy dreams and how have my life be a story for others

I can have a lot of thoughts of regrets about what person I should’ve become, but I’m a mix of privilege and struggle and I’m grateful for all parts of it
