         <description><![CDATA[<div>Since Manuel plays soccer, he already knew that the closer that the angle of the ball was to 180 degrees, the more curve that was going to be needed. We had to research how. We found out that in order to curve the ball more, we Manuel had to apply more force in the opposite direction of where we wanted it to curve. So say we wanted to curve the ball inwards, we would have to apply more force outwards.          <description><![CDATA[<div>When picking our topic,both of us decided that we wanted to do something sports related. We decided to pick soccer because it was the closest thing that we could relate to science. In order to this experiment we had to mark one third of the soccer goal with a cone and then mark our angles/ positions (90, 112.5, 135, 157.5, 180) that we were going to have to shoot from. The distance of each angle was the same throughout the experiment. We used the same ball throughout the experiment so it wouldn't affect  the outcome of the project. Manuel took 10 shots from each position and after he took the shots he found the goal scoring rate in percentages of each position. We noticed that the further away we got from 90 degrees, the more curve was needed on the ball. On 180 degrees, it was impossible to make it without curving the ball.</div>]]></description>
