    - There are three districts, each with one commissioner:
         - District One, Keith Baker
         - District Two, Greg Felt
         - District Three, Rusty Granzella
     - The overall responsibility of these commissioners is to act as the over-arching governing body of the county as a whole. Their authority is determined by state law, however they have to power to ´´make all contracts which are essential to the management of the county affairs.´´ This includes a wide range of tasks, from approving budgets and hiring county employees to overseeing county legislation and public works (roads, bridges, parks, etc.)

Budget (2018) :
  • The county, after taxes and funds, has a usable budget of about  $43,626,000
    • 65% of this budget goes towards the general fund, which is the county's "primary operating fund". It is used maintain the services such as county administration, public health, and public safety.
    • 18% is used for the social services fund,  which are government services provided for the benefit of the community, such as education, medical care, and housing.
    • 7%  is used for the retirement fund, which is the county's contributions to the retirement fund for county employees.
    • 5% is used for the animal shelter fund, which is directly remitted to the Ark-Valley Humane Society.
    • 3% is used for the capital expenditure fund, which is used for the acquisition and/or construction of capital facilities for specific departments of the county.
    • 2% is used for the road and bridge fund, which builds roads and bridges.
