By lashing out, the student has finally released all of the pent-up frustration and disappointment that they have been carrying around. My idea for the film is centred around exploring the emotional turmoil of rejection and the catharsis that can come from releasing those emotions. The themes of struggle and triumph that are present in the poem I chose helped to inspire and guide my vision for the film.
