My idea about a excellent green space is a place where everyone can enjoy the green. No one is excluded. For every species there is room to exist and to evolve. Green space has to be easily accessible, without environmental injustice.

My idea of excellent green space is full of diversity. Not just in the sense of people who can enjoy it, but also biologically diverse. With varying spaces - a large open area for meeting up and smaller, personal or intimite spaces for spending time undisturbed. Also, not all of the open space has to be 100% accessible: there can be a small area that may be challenging to reach, but it creates an intrigue and sense of wonder.

That's what, in my opinion, makes an urban green space compelling.

- Liva Mankus, LV

I think the excellent green space is more defined by the emptiness, not by the accumulation various human invented functions. It is a pause in-between the built environment. It is open, recalling nature, we can live in, rent it, and fulfill it together with other entities, and it is an entity on its own.
It is not the property of the humans, we don't possess nature, but it is owned by everybody being at it's territory at a given time. It is a transition between the conquered and unconquered world, and for this it should be some part wild, dense, raw, where we can maybe also witness danger, while we are not effected by it.
I like when trees for ex. are such landmarks, that they have names and history, and people visit them similar to art pieces in a gallery -> the ideal green open space should have history, show a bigger perspective in time, more then one individual's lifetime.
Then, on the other hand, some community, picnic or play areas would do nicely.

An excellent open space is inclusive, safety and useful. Its a resting area focused on the interaction of citizens to do some activities between each other. Also, the contact with nature its important because it provides a perspecive where eole can realize how important and beautitful it is

My ideal green open space would be focused on the people and their needs : they should have a role in its development and in its daily life. It means that people should feel comfortable, safe and just fine there.
Obviously it also needs to be ecologically sustainable, and provide habitats for animals/plants... Biodiversity is a priority in the development of the open space.
