This soundtrack is supposed to represent the timeline of how my music tastes have developed overtime. While I enjoy music on the radio, I have definitely grown out of it and prefer Spotify since it has a wide range of songs from other genres, countries, or eras. I am a sole believer that music has benefited my life in a multitude of ways from carrying me through happy times and hard times. As you listen through my playlist, I hope you look through the various genres of music I have enjoyed throughout my life :))))))

First and foremost, I want to start this playlist with a heartwarming song from the one and only, Alicia Keys. This song is in the R&B/Soul genre and it's melody and lyrics have been in my life for as long as I can remember. Alicia's voice is very soothing and this song never going to be skipped.

The next song is "Good Life" and it's a song that will never fail to make my day better. The genre is Indie-Pop and the acoustic elements just make it so much better. I often come back to this song to feel my childhood days and feel nostalgia.

To be honest, it was hard to choose my favorite Taylor Swift song since she is such a talented artist/songwriter with my generation. However, 22 is definitely an upbeat and catchy song that lightens up mines or anyone's mood. I specifically chose this song during my senior year graduation because I was Class of '22!

Halfway through my soundtrack, I want to slow it down a bit with this next song. Sweather Weather is a song I would listen to all seasons and it's because of how meaningful it is. I love the Neighborhood's voice color and the Indie-Rock feel that I can get when I do not feel like listening to upbeat music.

For this next song in my soundtrack, J-Pop started my interest in listening to international music. I love the elements of city pop along with her beautiful voice and lyrics. While the song is decades old, Plastic Love is definitely one of my top songs that showcases how timeless music can be.

This next song is a 100/10. Spring Day by BTS is a masterpiece, and my most listened to song of 2017-2018. While I admire the song very strongly, the music video is also very beautiful and has such strong themes of youth and growing up. Spring Day is also what led me to dive deeper into K-Pop as a music genre.

Compared to other artists, I have attended Keshi's concerts 3 times and everytime, it's a different and amazing experience. His voice is very soothing and especially the song Blue. This song has elements of ballad/R&B which helps me destress on a tough day.

This soundtrack was very endearing to create since I never truly had a playlist that represented my "life." Honestly, it was difficult to narrow down myself to all these songs since I had almost a hundred in mind. I appreciate how there are many moments in life where music is the only thing I can turn to during a hard time. This soundtrack also showed me how music can evolve or be everlasting in time in someone's life. I learned a lot more about myself after this activity and I even needed to ask myself questions of which songs have played a pivotal role in my life. I am very open to new music genres since everyone has different backgrounds and life experiences. For anyone who listening, I hope you can enjoy my music selection and even if it is not your taste, you can see my own reasoning for why I chose these songs.

My last song is my most recent listened to song of 2022 because of how much I relate to these lyrics after graduating high school. I miss my family and friends in Houston when I first moved to Austin for UT. So listening to this song means a lot to me and is a great ending to my soundtrack.
