When the word "architecture" comes to mind, I immediately think of measurements and other scientific formulas that help make a structure look unified and look put together. As far as I know, there are different architect designs for different purposes and over the years it has been intently studied upon. I was under the impression that math is a very integral aspect in architecture. I am not a person who is usually interested in the area of maths; therefore, back then I was never intrigued or captivated about architecture but as soon as I took my fine arts classes, my perspective began to change.

I have never thought that architecture is a subject that covers many aspects and dimensions. Initially, I thought math is the base of architecture, however, as I have observed throughout the module, math is just part of the whole picture. There are plenty of things to take consideration of. I have only learned about the importance of space during my first Fine Arts session. Never in my life did i think that space was also in fact a relevant feature when dealing with architecture. Additionally, history is also another necessary component. It was fascinating to see how the La Sagrada Familia developed over the years and not to mention how they still tried to follow the artist's plan decades after he died. Additionally, usually we relate the renaissance and baroque periods to paintings; however, the said periods are also represented in structures as well. From Fine Arts I learned that I was taught to see architecture not only for its purpose but for its beauty as well. I have never appreciated an architecture's design and how much effort was put in to the attention to detail until now.

Architecture seems like a lot of work. Often I've heard that its a very hard course to pass. There will be sleepless nights and there will be failures along the way. But since architecture is such a wide topic, there are a lot to learn more about architecture even way beyond the topic of Fine Arts. I have always wondered how to draw a sample/blueprint/plate of a structure as simple as a house. What are the basics on learning how to draw these plates? What are the necessary parts of the house that needed to be drawn? These plates have intrigued me because architecture students draw so precisely. Every small detail is observed. They get to memorize and familiarize themselves the many different terms found under the course of architecture. I believe that learning how to properly draw a plate will greatly widen my knowledge on architecture.
