I want them to have time to get jobs or internships and be able to apply what they are already doing and learning toward their high school "Credit" and requirements, especially when they are working towards their personal goals and long-term educational goals. I want my high schoolers to be prepared for college and the real world. Lots of interaction with other teachers and students, deadlines from someone other than me, but also lots of flexibility with what they take and in what order they learn it in.
