<title>Remember the trauma-informed approach: We don&#39;t always know everyone&#39;s story, so introducing a topic, previewing expectations in a talking circle/forum (e.g. review how to have a respectful conversation among different viewpoints, there might be discomfort, blaming, and jumping to conclusions), and reiterating that it is a safe space to share, is very important. Offering our availability via email for students who do not feel comfortable sharing in front of others opens up an avenue for them to share.</title>

We really focus on kindness, respect, being an up-stander, and how we are the human race and need to be there for everyone.
