When I was in elementary, I was just a normal sipat and playful kid, always full of energy and excitement for everything around me. I loved running around with friends, laughing, and just being active every single day. The main sport I played back then was soccer, which gave me a way to release my energy and at the same time taught me how to work together with others as part of a team. Aside from soccer, I also tried out kids’ triathlons, which made me realize that I had the discipline and endurance to push myself in different types of physical activities. These experiences during my childhood showed how naturally energetic and curious I was, always willing to try new challenges even at such a young age. They also shaped my physical self-concept, as I learned early on that I had both the strength and the motivation to grow in sports and physical activities.

Adolescence (High School Years)

When I entered high school, it became the part of my life where I started to truly explore who I was and what I wanted to become. I was more aware of my responsibilities and goals, and I consistently became an honor student, which built my intellectual confidence and discipline. At the same time, I discovered my deep love for music. I started playing instruments such as the drums, which became my main instrument, but I also learned how to play the electric guitar and bass. Music became an outlet for me to express myself emotionally, and it also gave me a sense of identity and creativity beyond academics and sports.

In terms of athletics, high school was when I began taking sports more seriously. I became part of Batang Pinoy in cycling, which gave me the opportunity to compete and represent, and I also played for Ateneo de Davao’s varsity soccer team. These experiences not only strengthened my physical abilities but also taught me about discipline, teamwork, and resilience, building my self-concept as a dedicated athlete. Beyond sports, I was also engaged in meaningful social work by joining the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines, where I contributed to helping people in the community. This experience allowed me to build my social self-concept because I realized that I could use my time and effort to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Another milestone in my adolescence was starting my own business at an early age. This decision showed that I was not only focused on studying and playing sports but also eager to develop responsibility, independence, and leadership. It made me more aware of the real-world challenges and opportunities outside the classroom. Looking back, my high school years were a time of growth in all aspects of my self-concept—physically through sports, intellectually through academics, emotionally through music, and socially through both organizations and business.

Step 1 – Senior High School (Current Position)

I am currently taking the ABM Strand because it helps me develop skills in business management, finance, and entrepreneurship—which are useful for handling my future auto repair shop.

Step 2 – College Program

I will pursue a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology major in Automotive Technology (or a Technical-Vocational Course in Automotive Servicing NC II) at a reputable institution such as TESDA or University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP). This program will help me gain technical knowledge about engines, electrical systems, and car maintenance.

Step 3 – College Priorities

While studying in college, I will focus on mastering hands-on automotive skills, understanding modern vehicle technologies, and maintaining discipline and professionalism. I will also join workshops or clubs related to automotive work to improve my skills and network with industry experts.

Step 4 – Post-Graduation Path

After graduating, I will take the TESDA National Certificate (NC II and NC III) for Automotive Servicing and apply for an apprenticeship or internship in a car repair shop or dealership to gain real-world experience and build my reputation as a trusted mechanic.

Step 5 – Graduate Studies / Advanced Training

I plan to continue my education by taking advanced automotive diagnostic and management courses, possibly abroad or through TESDA programs, to keep up with new car technologies and prepare for running my own business.

Step 6 – Career Achievement

My ultimate goal is to establish my own auto repair shop, offering high-quality and affordable car services. I also aim to train aspiring mechanics, create jobs, and serve the community by promoting road safety and responsible vehicle maintenance.
