Mr. Rangel has been doing an awesome job adapting his writing tasks for individuals with more in depth needs. Each student contributes in their own meaningful way. Other celebrations are seeing growth over time in writing mechanics, punctuation, capitalization, and individual effort!

TK/K noticed students are beginning to write words to match the picture. Some students need fine motor strength building to begin to draw pictures and write letters. Teacher modelling of drawing a pictures helps with to their work in TK.

In 3rd grade, students are deepening their understanding of the narrative structure. Introduction to simile usage within the narrative is being incorporated. For Newcomers, modified frames are being introduced for this genre.

4th Grade
