After the protestors broke into the royal palace, Lafayette decided to try to restore order by leading the royal family to the balcony. He then kissed the queen's palm, causing the crowd to cheer.

The Sans-culottes were the lower-class people, or the commonfolk of the French hierarchy. They made up a large majority of the revolutionary army. Most of them went back to a normal life after the Revolution was over.

Napoleon Bonaparte

Napoleon was a French general. He quickly rose through the ranks by winning the Siege of Toulon, and he became the leader of the French Revolution, but he got greedy and announced himself emperor. He was banished to an island once, then they brought him back, but after he lost a war against Russia, he was sent back to the island until the day he died.
