         <description><![CDATA[<p>Lafayette was a high-ranking French military officer and politician. Lafayette reluctantly led the protestors of the women's march to Versailles. After the protestors broke into the royal palace, Lafayette decided to try to restore order by leading the royal family to the balcony. He then kissed the queen's palm, causing the crowd to cheer.</p>]]></description>

He was banished to an island once, then they brought him back, but after he lost a war against Russia, he was sent back to the island until the day he died.</p>]]></description>
