It shows that child labor made the kids very upset. Child Labor upsetted them because they had to work 16 hour shifts and only had one break and it was only 40 minutes long. The conditions at the factories were very bad there were a lot of sickness going around and trash was all over the place and just a terrible place to be around. The kids also had a lot of pressure on them and did not wanna make any mistakes because there manager would beat them if they made a mistake they would whip them and if they would start to dose off and look tired they would get beaten to wake them up.
