unit. It will only contain the title of the unit as well as the organization. I will then explain to the students that as we learn about the unit, we will add to our word wall. The words and pictures will attach to the word wall with velcro. 

This will allow for easy transition between class periods. We will begin our unit at the bottom of the chart, and we will work our way up to the top. The teacher will place the first word on the wall, and then as the unit progresses, students can be asked where they think the next word should be placed. Students should begin to recognize a pattern among the words. This word wall will be kept in a visible spot in the front of the room throughout the entire unit. This will allow for students to have a visual representation of everything that they have learned in the unit.
