BIP explained

An Erasmus BIP refers to a Blended Intensive Programme. These are short, intensive programmes that use innovative ways of learning and teaching, including the use of online cooperation.

How it works

A BIP takes place in a blended format which means that a short-term physical mobility abroad is combined with a compulsory virtual component facilitating collaborative online learning exchange and teamwork.

What happens

A BIP typically involves a short but intensive period of joint learning and collaboration among students and staff from different European countries.

Activities

A BIP includes face-to-face activities, such as workshops, seminars, or cultural events, combined with online elements of collective and simultaneous teamwork to enhance the overall learning experience.

The goal is to foster intercultural understanding, collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge among participants.

The eligibility criteria of an Erasmus BIP are:

At least 3 higher education institutions from 3 different programme countries, including the coordinating institution;

Minimum of 15 participants from the partner institutions (excluding coordinating participants);

Duration of physical mobility is between 5 and 30 days. Physical mobility is funded by the sending institution;

Compulsory virtual activity with no defined duration (not funded);

Obligation to provide added value by incorporating innovative teaching and learning practices.

__________

NB! Travel and accommodation costs are covered by ERASMUS grant payable by your institution.

Please contact the Erasmus coordinator of your home university to discuss details of Erasmus training mobility before you apply.

__________
