This is important for teaching Pre-k -4 because teachers can’t just rely on recess and students after school curriculums for students to do physical activity. This happens to many students of color all around the world. Teachers need to be aware of students' backgrounds, and teach their students about acceptance in the classroom. Teachers need to teach about the inequalities in our world and how African Americans have been discriminated against for years.
