A Royal colony was ruled or administered by officials that were responsible to appoint the reigning sovereign of Great Britain. The local government was ruled by the mother country, England, and its royalty. The mother country controlled Georgia and was involved. The important documents would include the constitution of Georgia.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

It was founded because England wanted to protect South Carolina from the Spaniards invasion from Florida and the French  from Louisiana.  James also wanted to create a refuge for persecuted Protestants.  Adventurers and debtors were brought to create the colony.</div>]]></description>
