when children are outside in the woodland area they are still going to be learning and developing their emotional and social skills, they can also learn about their self awareness as they are going to be using tools and knives under close supervision.  this will help them to understand risk and dangers, and to use their own initiative to be able to solve problems, forest school will run in all kinds of weather.

They will need to be a high level of staff to child ratios in case on of the children get seriously hurt. when you are taking the children to the woods you need to make sure that you are up to date with the first aid training. Also another principle they have is to use a wide range of different processes to create an area for development and learning, you can do this by being able to acknowledge the interests and needs of the children.

They will be developing their social skills as they will be outdoors and they will be able to run around and picking up sticks and making pictures this will develop their fundamental motor skills, they will also be improving their physical stamina.
