Let’s write a constitution

and make it all about

how we are all just human beings,

different—without a doubt.

And everyone will sign it,

obligated to its rules,

to always help a man in need

and never to exclude.

So even if you think that someone

does not deserve your hand,

you need to think again

because now it’s a command.

It’s not just about you and him—

it’s bigger than that.

It’s how our world operates

in the future and the past.

’Cause even though we are so different,

the world has to agree

that we all have to offer help

to anyone in need.

Even if it’s someone you think is weird.

Even if it’s someone you don’t like.

Even if it’s your enemy.

Nobody should be alone, or feel abandoned.

Helping a person means going out of your comfort zone,

doing something you might not enjoy, or something scary.

In life we should strive to be the best people we can be to one another.

Doesn’t matter who it is, you should treat him like you would treat your friend or your family.

Treat someone as if you want to be treated that way.

Don’t care for someone differently because of their race, or their actions, or of their bad decisions in life.

Even if it’s your enemy, treat him as if he is your friend, you don’t know what he has been through, he might just need a shoulder to cry on.

Let yourself be that shoulder.

Make him feel that he is loved and cared for.

Maybe he is a bad person, maybe he is not.

However, if he is in need.

Il’l be the first one he sees.

An enemy flung up out of the ocean

Do you save, do you kill?

Do you watch, do you run?

Do I leave or do I stay?

Do I look at religion, race, etc

Or do I look away

And see the enemy, just as a man?

Do you help your enemy?

Helping your enemy is hard

If you help him you're betraying your people

If you don’t you’re betraying humanity

What is more important

Killing your enemy

Or our obligation to humanity?

As a jew I have an obligation

An obligation to humanity

We jews sanctify life

We save our enemies

Without looking at race, religion

Even if all they wish is our death

That is how we live as jews

We live to sanctify life.
