We know this because on page 44 it says “that people have gotten these snakes as pets but then they got larger and they couldn't handle it no more so they let them go into the wild.” also they are at the top of the food chain too, we know this because in video 1 it says “that the burmese python is at the top of the food chain and has no other predators except US!” As you can see this snake is not from florida at all and if you encounter this beast DON'T MESS WITH IT!

They are native to Southeast Asia. The Burmese python is at the top of the food chain in the Florida everglades which means that every animal there is in danger including other Burmese pythons. $1,500. The biggest snake that gets caught and killed get all the money.Even though the pythons are a big problem at least some people are doing something about it because, the less snakes the more wild life we have and the more snakes the bigger the problem is.

Also the win is big dollars, if a team catches the most snakes they get 4,000 dollars if a team catches the longest snake they also get 4,000 dollars all together you could win a sum of 8,000 dollars. Crazy! Finally the dates of when the Python challenge goes on, it starts January first and goes until February third. The Python challenge really helps the lowege of the Burmese python and saves the Florida everglades.

Finally the snakes have no natural predator. As it said in video 1 “there are no natural predators to kill the burmese python so they just keep laying eggs and having babies”. As you can see we have to do something to get rid of these nuisances.

Secondly according to video 1, the python is eating small mammals and nearly whipping out raccoons,bobcats, opossums and other small mammals,last of all the python is a vicious hunter, this beast has heat sensors along their jaws and has back curving teeth, the python hunts by squeezing their prey and swallowing their prey whole (page 44), this is why we need to stop the burmese python in the everglades.
