Richard Curtis wrote the words for the movie, and he had to rewrite them seventeen times! People suggested fifty-four different names for the movie.                                                                   The story is about love that takes us to four weddings. It is a story of a group of friends who kept their relationship since school. The first wedding was for Charles friends August and Laura. Always late, Charles, the main character, met a beautiful American woman called Carrie. Three month later, it was the second wedding between Bernard and Lydia, other Charles friends. at the ceremony, Carrie invited Charles to her marriage with a man called Hamish. Charles felt unhappy. He was an attractive unmarried man who has had a lot of girlfriends but never really failed in love until he met Carrie. Indeed, the third wedding was Carrie and Hamish's. Unfortunately, during the ceremony, Gareth, one of Charles' friends, died. That was terrible and Gareth funeral after Carrie's wedding was the sad part of this story. However, that sadness taught Charles a lot about life and he decided to change  his mind about marriage. He decided to get married with one of his ex girlfriends called Henrietta. It was the forth wedding and everything was fine until Charles realized, at the ceremony that, his real love was Carrie so he couldn't get married with Henrietta any more. Charles and his friends show us how important was friend ship and commitment. But I don't like the fact that a lot of people have a lot of girlfriends and didn't want to get married and the way Charles left Henrietta the day of their wedding. It was cruel. many people don't want to get married for many reasons and those who want to, are waiting for the perfect person. Perfect marriage doesn't exist. just get a nice and friendly person and live with. Other thing I don't like, was Gareth's death. Why the author chose to put that during a wedding, the day that we are supposed to be happy. From chapter 1 to 6, I had several new words but the comprehension was fine and i really liked it. I recommend this book to all my classmates even if we have a lot of British English.
