         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Louis Pasteur</strong> was a French microbiologist and chemist known for his discoveries of the principles of vaccination, microbial fermentation and pasteurization. He is known for his remarkable breakthroughs in the causes and prevention of diseases in mid&nbsp; and late 1800's.&nbsp;<br><strong>Louis Pasteur </strong>– performed <strong>additional experiments</strong> on soup in the mid-<strong>1860s</strong> employing filtered air and flasks with straight necks and long S-shaped necks; he discovered air-borne microbes were able to infect the broth in regular flasks but bacteria settled at the top of the curve in the S-shaped flasks, leaving the soup unaffected.&nbsp;</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

He preformed his experiments on soup in sealed containers from 1765-67 and proved the micro-organisms that spoiled the soup were air-born – f<strong>urther proof that cells can only reproduce like-cells.</strong></div>]]></description>

He used this theory to invent the Electron Microscope with many small coils . The basic purpose of the microscope was to study objects which could be greatly magnified . He did this on January 1<sup>st</sup> 1933. Following this many other scientist like Virchow and Schleiden came up with their own theories about cells.
