         <description><![CDATA[<div>as stress increases on muscles tiny micro tears appear  </div><div>this will cause swelling in the muscles which creates pressure on the nerve endings and pain</div><div>noticeable changes will only be seen if the body has the right  fuel and rest to repair the micro tears.</div><div>when the muscles repair they will be stronger.<br><br><em>this is useful for a weight lifter because muscle fibre tears will result in an increased muscle mass and there for make the athlete better at there event. </em></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Before you start exercising your heart rate already starts to increase and this is known as your anticipatory heart rate. Before acute exercise this happens because a chemical from the nervous system is released, as well as a hormone from your adrenal gland. When we take part in sporting activity the cardiovascular system has to work harder because our muscles require more oxygen to function. <br><br><em>this is good for a rugby player because the increase of adrenalin will give the athlete more energy and they will be more redy for the match </em>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>During exercise, adjustments are made by the cardiovascular system</div><div>this ensures adequate delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the muscles to continue with the exercise<br>Oxygen demand is much higher during physical activity then it is at rest. The activity responses include an increased heart rate, increased stroke volume and increased cardiac output. All of these contribute ot an increased delivery of 02 to the working muscles during exercise. <br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

Your heart speeds up to pump extra oxygen to the muscles. and to get rid of more carbon dioxide. the breathing rate will increase as long as intensity increases but it will plateau if exercise intensity remains the same. the breathing rate will eventually plateau when the athlete reaches their maximal level for oxygen consumption.</div>]]></description>
