What is the difference between active and passive use?
Which type of screen time do you engage in more?
What screen activities do you value, and what do you want to cut out?

How might you monitor your screen time to be more productive?

1. The difference between active and passive screen time is passive being mainly the user watching over something or hover over a message. Whereas, active is where the user is using the device and at the same moment is preoccupied with such an activity. This is done by either spending energy doing that activity or saying something online.

2. I personally engage in more of a passive screen time use. This is mainly because I mostly watch videos on places like YouTube.

3. Some screen time activities that I value is educational learning on such devices. This can be by reading on a device, watching educational videos on YouTube, or even playing an application that is educational academically or otherwise. On the other hand something that I would like to cut out are the non-educational applications that I might play from time to time. I believe that some of these applications might be addictive towards the user and don't really benefit him/her as much as an educational application might.

4. I like to monitor my screen time through screen time in settings for an apple phone. It is able to properly show the amount of time I spend on any application. One thing that I like about this is that it also shows my screen time on the home screen of my phone, so I can even see my screen time before I even open my phone.

1. the difference between active and passive screen time is that active screen time is when you're interacting with it, for example, playing games and talking to friends/family. Passive screen time is when you are not interacting with the device, like watching videos.

2. For me I think I engage more in active screen time because I like playing games and talking to my friends a lot.

3. some screen activities I value is playing games and talking with my friends because it is a fun and effective way of bonding with my friends. I would like to limit my time watching videos because watching videos doesn't really give me much of a benefit compared to my other activities since its a passive screen activity.

4. to make myself more productive by limiting my screen time, I think i could set a time limit of how long I am using my screen for unproductive activities like watching videos, and playing games.

1. Active screen time can be when you play games on your phone or your pc as i know that trains your reaction time. Passive screen time can be things such as to watch tv or just scrolling through instagram.

2. I engage most in the active screen time as I play video games alot in my free time.

3. I value the active screen time more because thats way more fun for me to play with my friends than just scrolling trough instagram. I want to cut out the part where i watch youtube videos when i cant sleep because the light from the phone can be damaging.

4. I could see what i use my time on and maybe therefore if i feel like its unnecessary ill try to cut down on that media.

1. Passive screening is where no thought, creativity or interaction is required. But on the other hand active screen time involves physical engagement and the use of cognitive thinking. The same app can be used in both these different ways.
2. I believe I use more active screening as I am usually texting or snapping people or watching competitive episodes to do with fashion and the use of creativity. However sometime I do fall into the passive side of screening but then I would usually get bored and look for something to do after that.
3. I value the use of communication, games and sometimes movies depending if they are actively engaging me. I have been cutting out scrolling through insta and watching youtube.
4. Every night once I have finished everything before I go to sleep I allow myself to watch an episode of a series and also during the day I try and leave my phone when I go for walks or hang out with my friends.

1.active screen time is mainly for interactive such as texting with your friends, playing game online and etc. passive screen time is no interacting with others so watch a video or looking at the post on the social media.
2. I think i engage more in passive. but i also engage active screen time too.
3. screen activities that I value is texting my friends and maybe playing game. cause i can socialise and communicate with peoples through the screen.
4. I can manage my screen time by cutting the unnecessary apps which lead me to the passive screen time. and socialise with people and try to decrease my screen time.

It gives the amusement and enjoyment such as by connecting to friends via social media.
4) I think I should cut down on the amount of time I spend on social media and instead convert those hours to doing something else like revising work or calling friends. One could set time limits on their phone.
