Of note – if students have access to an iOS or Android device, the Newsela student app is available to work in “offline mode!”  Meaning students can sync intermittently if equity of Wi-Fi access isn’t readily available on a consistent basis.  They can work on their assignments in offline mode, and sync back once they have access to a Wi-Fi hotspot again perhaps weekly, bi-weekly, etc.
