Every 6 week session of this program took inspiration from a different artist. Each week, we explored a different technique or material as we create giant masterpieces!

As we moved through the course, my observations of the children's unique skills and interests informed how I approached each lesson. I used my knowledge of child development to plan lessons that support each child's growth and give them the opportunity to express themselves artistically.

Caregivers had the option to participate with their children. When they did, I use this as a chance to support the incredibly important bond between caregiver and child.

Some highlights from Summer Camp include: creating works of arts inspired by famous artists, creating our own story book as a group, making magic potions, using found objects to create dollhouses, creating flower arrangements, making a stop-motion animation film, and going on Art Walks to create our own masterpieces inspired by the murals in our community.

While we were at places like local ravines and forests, ponds, and the beach, the campers engaged in activities such as fort building, creating art inspired by our surroundings, storytelling using nature, making our own mud kitchen, climbing trees, and going on scavenger hunts.
