At 18, Mingue moved to Seoul to pursue their shared dream, while Jihoon stayed behind in Sokcho to finish school. Mingue held down several jobs, delivering packages, waiting tables, and office cleaning, while studying business management and media production through the night. Life in the city was hard, but Mingue's determination never wavered. He promised Jihoon that he would pave the way for both of them. When Jihoon finally relocated to join him in Seoul a few years later, the brothers were reunited and were set to take on the world.

Mingue is a demanding boss with high expectations. He has rigorous training timetables, bans snacking and dating on promotion days, and is always one step ahead of his artists' errors. Mingue is hard on the outside but has a soft spot for his artists, going out of his way to assist them. He's the kind of manager who will stay up all night preparing for an audition or act as a mentor when an artist is depressed.
