I like to use the words "show me..." when I'm asking for behaviors. "Show me how we line up behind each other" "show me how you sit nicely on the carpet" as opposed to "don't touch your neighbor" etc.

An idea to collect data: sitting with the co teacher, highlight children in need and write a description and needs. Revisit every 2 weeks ,and see if child need sst referral or not.

I would suggest to have sessions on a grade level and hear from students their concerns , suggestions on how it can be a better place to learn and grow from their point of view.

The importance of clear communication regarding changes of policy etc. This will encourage consistency across the school.

Teachers could benefit from clear tips to implement in the class, specifically how to manage and deal with students we are struggling with. So even if they are unable to get 1-2-1 intervention support at least the teachers will know how to move forward with the child.
