This is called this because ISO is international to all around the world.

ISO can be changed in every shot without changing the film in the camera.
ISO cameras have no less than 7 different ISO'S.
> The lower the number the darker the image.
< The higher the number the lighter the image.
ISO can be controlled by selecting manual on your camera or AUTO ISO, the camera will automaticlly change the light levels when taking a photo. It cant be altered or fixed as the camera does it all for you.

Aperture:

Aperture can get bigger or smaller, depending what you are trying to capture on your image.
The smaller the hole is the less light goes through the apeture and the bigger the apeture the more light goes through the apeture.

TIFF (Tag image file format): A computer file format for storing graphic images. used a lot by professionals. The format was originally created by the company Aldus for use in desktop publishing.

JPEG ( Joint photographic expert group): Is a commonly used method of compression for digital images, mostly for images produced by digital photography.Compression can be adjusted. JPEG achieves 10:1 compression with little perceptible loss on the quality of the image.

RAW- These files are named RAW because they are not yet processed and therefore not ready to be printed or edited with a bitmap graphic editor, the image is processed by a raw converter in a wide-galmilt internal colour space where adjustments can be made before conversion.

On this task i was able to take different ISO shots to see the differences shades from darker to lightest, was able to comprehend the importance of using the right ISO when taking the image depending on your environment around you when taking a photograph. My image above shows that i used the 7 different ISO'S on my camera to see the changes on each image, i then took 7 different shots of the same place to be able to see the differences on each ISO.

. Using a higher ISO will increase noise.
.Noise is seen as pixels of random brightness or colour in a digital image.
. The lowest ISO is the least amount of noise the camera makes.
. High levels of noise can cover fine detail in the image and reducing its clarity.

1. Turn on the camera
2. Choose a shoot mode, such as: manual, T's, A etc. depending on what you want to take a photograph of.
3. Judge the space. look at how much light your chosen space has.
4. Set an ISO for the light. ISO only needs to be changed if you go from one chosen space to another where the lighting is completly different.

Shutter speed is when a photograph is taken and the length of the shutter is open for. That is why is called shutter speed.
If everything is still on an image , the effect is not the same as the shutter speed does not do much but when objects on the image are moving the shutter speed will give it a better noticeable effect. Depending on the camera that is used the shutter speed can vary but normally is around 30/1/4000 sec.

This week we went around central London, we looked at different architechture buildings and practice using the shutter speed on the camera. The task was to take photos with no blur at all, then some photos on camera blur and others on motion blur.
Above i have all the photos i took and then i chose 3 photos that captured no blur, camera shake and motion blur.
Image 1: no blur.
I took this photo like this because i loved the architechture of this building, when you look up towards the sky the building does not look like offices. Being a silver metal building it gives the impression of future buildings.

I waited to take this image, i wanted to wait until pedestrians walked through the road whilst everything was still, my favourite part about this image is that everything is very clear and still but the pedestrians looked very blur almost like ghosts.

Image 3: Camera shake:
On this image everything is a blur, although everything is blur the image is also able to show you what is going on in the image. what i like most about this image is that i can see light lines, golden almost orange lights going through the left hand side of the image, a splash of colour, giving a natural lighting effect.

I will like to improve on these skills by taking more photographs on many different things or objects to improve on camera shake and motion blur.

Exposure triangle, the three fundamental elements of exposure.

When using any of these elements it is important that we set them all to the right exposure, these three elements work really well together, and when is set up properly all the images will be how you expected them to be.

ISO: ISO is the sensitivity of the image, the higher ISO the more noise the camera makes and the lower ISO the less noise there is.

Aperture: The aperture is the whole in the camera, this whole gets bigger and smaller depending how much volume of light you want to allow in you photograph, if you would like a wider depth of filed you will set your aperture on a higher aperture, such as : F22, F32 and if you would like a narrow depth of field your aperture would have a smaller number, such as F2, F4.

Shutter speed: This is the duration of the image being taken, time of the exposure. This can makes your shots blur. There are three ways you can take your image by using shutter speed, that is motion blur, this means that only some of the image has blur. Camera shake blur, this means the whole image is blur and freezing action means that there is no blur.

Exposure is about controlling the light, how much light we capture through the camera. It is very important to set the camera on the right exposure to take an image correctly, we can correct the image as good as possible through adobe Photoshop but we must always make sure our camera has the right aperture, ISO and shutter speed.

Brightness and contrast allows us to change the tone of a photograph, when moving the brightness slider to the right it gives a higher tone, darker tone to the image and it highlights the darker or lighter tones area. If you move it to the left it gives less tone value but can give a higher shadow in the darker areas.
Levels are use to correct the tonal, the colour range of the image, by changing the photograph's shadows, midtones and highlights.
Histograms can help to see if there is enough detail on the image to make a good correction, it shows you how the image is balanced to make a good quality picture. This is a graph that shows us the shadows, mid tones and highlights on the photograph.

Harold used high-speed exposure using a stroboscope. This allowed him to capture each detail on his images. He photograph tennis stars, Harold had the opportunity to photograph each tennis star before they went out on their matches. On this image Harold cached Moran tossing the ball into a perfect throw, this allowed him to capture this image. In my opinion, it is amazing that Harold can show us exactly what is happening right in front of us and to show us in each detail what happens to the racket when the player hits that ball, it is amazing to be able to see everything in detailed in slow motion, its amazing how he captured what we can't see. Amazing photography work, i think Harold wanted his images to be more than an image, his images are very artistic, very beautifully done.

Harold was born on April 6, 1903 Fremont Nebraska and died on January 4, 1990 Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Harold was a professor of electrical engineering. He is known for using Stroboscope, this is an instrument that is used to make moving objects appear to be slow-moving or still on his images. It is a rotating disk with slots or holes or a lamp, is like a flashtube that produces repetitive flashes of light.
He was awarded a bronze medal by the Royal Photographic Society in 1934. He was able to use different techniques to show different stages on his images.

This is my favourite image because I love the contrast of the lights, there are clear bright lights of lights, then there is blurry face giving the effect almost like if the person was under water. There is also dots of lights. The image is very captivating.

Edward Western used light from above on this photograph, I can see the light highlights on top of this pepper. Underneath I can see the dark areas, the shadows on the photographs, Edward took close up shots in studio based to get his lighting right to give the photograph a different effect, this is to give us an impression that this photograph could look like something other than a pepper. Edward used artificial light on his photography as this can be manipulated, by doing this he makes his work more curios to the eye, more fascinating and a more dynamic range on his photographs.

This image was taken on the studio on the 21/11/17.
I have chosen this image as my worst image because it does not give me anything, it does not tell me anything apart from being a fruit. On this image is not in focus because there is blur in it, the aim on this image was to show each detail on the skin. I like the shadow behind the mandarin, it gives its a little bit of depth of field.
To get this image I used one main focus light in high intensity, the main focus light was pointed to the floor and the fruit was sitting on the floor boards. I then set up my camera settings, changed it to monogram and then my ISO to 100, 5'0 aperture and 1/100 shutter speed.
In my opinion my aperture was too high for this image.
On this image I have learnt that if I changed my aperture I would of got an image that I had pictured it in my head.

This image was taken on the 21/11/17 in the studio.
I have chosen this image because I love the veins detailed on this piece of mandarin, I love how dark it is but yet you can see through the veins on the mandarin, I did change my composition here, I decided to open the mandarin and make it a little different from the rest of my images. I can see depth of field on here, you can see the skin of the mandarin although it has blur but that was my main point, I focus on the piece of mandarin, I wanted that to be my focus point.
On this image I used one main light using a diffusion sheet on it, so the light was not as bright, the fruit was on a table, the table was on the middle of the studio, it was not against a wall so I had to look at my camera settings to make sure I did not get anyone on my shot. My camera was on monogram mode, my aperture I turned it back on 5'0 I then had my ISO on 100 and the shutter speed was on 1/100.
The settings were the same as my image above I just analysed but I discovered that depending on how you set up your studio lights, background and camera settings can affect your images

On this task I worked in a group, we had to use the camera on a stand, this was to make sure the camera was still when taking photographs at all times, I was in a dark room and use mobile phones torch to make the light.

On this trip we went around St Paul's cathedral, it was a dull day, so not much sun light at all. We used our cameras to take images of the cathedral, we used the exposure triangle to help us. The exposure triangle gave me a guideline of how you can prepare your camera to take a photograph. I done various photos, some motion blur and some without motion blur and some with camera shake. Some images were over exposed and under exposed.

There are 5 things you can change about light.

DIFSC
DIRECTION: Lights in different directions, angle can be moved, back, up, mid, low.
INTENSITY: Brighter/lighter. Defuse 100% to 75% and 30% by every sheet used on the light.
FOCUS: Soft/ diffused and concentrated/ hard light.
SHAPE: Pattern (gobos) create shape.
COLOUR: Placing colour sheets in front of the filters.

On this mini photo-shoot I experimented different focus points. I love the last 3 images on here because I got the trick on how to focus. On these images I can really see in detail where I have focused.

I had to use Photoshop to make a darker image brighter.
On Photoshop I first downloaded my image to make brighter, then in the right hand corner there is an icon that is called LAYER VISABILITY, this looks a bit like an eye. That is step 1.
Step 2 is clicking the text that says BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST... once that is done the third step is where your image can be adjusted, there are two lines, one that says brightness and the other contrast, with the computer mouse you can move it up and down until you are happy with your image contrast
