I put on correct PPE and put everything I needed next to me. Then I did a hot cross bun section, started at the back applying colour to the roots worked my way through every section it took me 15 mins to apply then I cross checked. I put hair in a bun and left a section at the top. Then I used some foam rollers (all I have, no tongs) heated the hair with hairdryer and let it cool. Took rollers out brushed it and started finger wave. Used hair spray to hold in place and clips. When I finished I took clips out and held in place with pins.  I found this tricky need more practice. I started off with sectioning for t-section foils. Then I mixed my bleach and 6% peroxide 1-2. Then I started on the crown and worked my way forward to the front. After that I did the side sections. Left to develop for needed time checking every 10mins. When it was ready I washed off combed through. After looking at the hair styles in the 40’s I decided to have a go at Victory Rolls. I started off by sectioning the hair into three sections, one at the back and two at the front. I put the back section in a bun as they were popular in the 40’s. I then moved to the front two sections, back combed them and brushed the hair up and smoothed then I rolled both sections into victory rolls. I used hairspray and pins to keep them in place. I started by sectioning the hair in to four sections. Then took a piece from the crown area and cut my profile. Then I did orange segments all through the back using the piece of hair cut previous.  After the back sections I did the same with the front. I did most of the haircut pulling straight out from the head at a 90 degree angle.  But my doll had a previous graduated bob. So the bottom of hair in the nape was cut at 45 degrees. When I finished the cut I cross checked. I finished off drying it with my fingers. Task 9 Prom Hair

I looked at prom Hair then had a go at this style, I took sections from the front and back combed them after that I smoothed and pinned in place. I then twisted pieces from the sides across the back to hide pins. I curled the rest of the hair with tongs. Happy with results.
