Students should not be grouped into classes based solely on age.  Instead, groupings of students should be based on different social and academic levels, such as: maturity, skillset, etc.

Standardized testing should be a thing of the past. In a world where we can access an infinite amount of information with the touch of a finger, in a device that fits in the palm of our hands, memorization and regurgitation of information should not be considered such an important part of assessing student abilities. Instead, students' progress should be assessed based on their abilities to gather the necessary information 
to complete tasks and solve problems.
