A favorite of hers and an event with much value is her experience as a traveling Occupational Therapist.  Shortly after graduating from college, she packed her bags and got sent to California.  At this time, there were many wild fires roaring through the lands of this dry state.  This impacted Alyssa's career because she encountered several burn victims with trouble getting back into daily living. She was also in Texas, Georgia, Utah, and Chicago, Illinois which is her favorite city. Being a traveling OT was the best decision she made. She also gets together with her friends at a local café weekly. Often times she will bring her friends fresh baked bread or pasta. Cooking became her specialty over the years. Her grandchildren make her very proud as she watches them score points in sporting events and excelling in school. It has been discussed to move away, but is still in debate because of their family in Pittsburgh.  They spend time giving back to their community. Then she worked as a traveling OT for a small period of time. She saved her money to get married and start a family. Shortly after this, Alyssa moved to Pittsburgh and worked for UMPC Mercy South Side Outpatient Center. Here she encountered all ages of people. Her favorite patients were children. She enjoyed her time at the St. Marys Area High School by being involved in many activities. Next she lived in Erie, PA where she attended college. Her family was surprised she picked such a cold, snowy location but it ended up being the perfect fit. As a traveling OT, she lived in several states upon graduation.
